Long post here... 16 of my favorites from ~700 shots taken from 1-11 May. This was our first outing with our new Oly C5050, internal flash only.

We found that some of the best shots were obtained with natural light. Most shots were in full auto mode with either flash override or manually forced. My wife is convinced that I'll want strobes by the time we make our next trip.

All frames posted here were balanced and tweaked for color with GIMP 2.2 (similar to Photoshop in capability, but freeware) (Full auto mode typically gave a fairly flat, blued out image, but usually still had enough color data to balance after-the-fact) To prep for posting here I then resized the 5.1mp images and bumped to higher compression rates, so that in spite of pixel size they should all be <45k each. One is a 1024x768 that I think works nicely as windows wallpaper...

Anyone with hints on getting better results with flash?
