I still don’t get it. What do you mean (text). I hate it when I seem so dense, I really am not.

Hi Tim,
What Martin is trying to tell you maybe I can explain...

if you go to the bottom of this page you will see an icon for formatting.. that is a good place to start and it will explain the posting procedures to you however I will try to walk you through the short version

you must type
\ image{you can type anything here} without the spaces...between the \ and the word image..
take note on which \ to use and which bracket to use it is the squiggly one { } after you type this and hit post you will eventually come to a screen that will prompt you to FIND{browse} your photos on your computer do this and then double click on the photo and it should insert the path into the slot .. hit post again and you should have a photo.. make sure the pics are no larger than 50 kb in fact make it 45kb to be safe.. I usually size then to 400x300 and they work just fine..

These Pictures were taken the last time we were in Bonaire. January 2004 for 2 weeks. The camera used was a once state of the art digital Sony Mavica FD 90, in an Ikelite housing and an Ikelite Super C video light. I have replaced that with an Oly C8080 in an Ikelite housing and a DS50 strobe. I can’t wait to get it to Bonaire, where I can take what ever time it takes to get the shot. I used it to Salt Cay in the Turks and Caicos for 2 weeks, and got some acceptable shots, but with the guided dives, and the you “need to stay with the group” attitude you have to settle for what ever presents itself at the moment. You don’t realize what diving freedom is until you don’t have it. We will be on Bonaire again in July 2-9. This is from Red slave
Red Slave also
these are from Bari Reef

Well I got the pictures, but the text in the brackets did not show up for whatever reason? The first two are at Red Slave and the remainder at Bari Reef.

The top one is a frog fish Bari reef
#2 is the shallows at Ol' Blue
#3 Sand$ at sunset
#4 is my wife Sally, she is always looking for the really small critters.

Terrific shots, Tim! Just goes to show you that the "once" state of the art equipment works perfectly to this day!! Absolutely wonderful color and crisp and sharp as ever.

Can't wait to see some of your new ones when you return in July. Have a great time!

Congrats on your postings....we've all been there...just takes a few attempts and then it's fine.

Yes, the text is for the uploading and for your identifying the pic. But as Freddie has indicated, if you roll/hover the mouse over the photo posted, it will show the text ID. Ayo. Carole

Timothy, Glad you hung in there and are now a picture poster. Now I miss the area around Red Slave:-{)}

Do you and your wife both use Foil Force Fins?

We both used to use the force fins. I used the Force fin pro. I still use them in the pool but I have gone to the Atomics liquid blue split fin for open water. We know Jim Evans (the inventor and owner of Force fins)personally. In fact the fins Sally has were a gift from him when we did a live aboard trip in the Catalina Islands a few years ago with the DUI dry suit folks.

interesting ... I never knew the text "shows up when you roll your mouse over the photos", and it doesn't when I roll my mouse over them ---? does it work for everybody else?

It works with Internet Explorer. I use Mozzilla Firefox primarily and it does not work with that browser.
