It's been a while since you heard something from us, but hopefully this makes up for it.
When we heard that the Queen Mary 2 was coming to Bonaire, we planned on something special. Unfortunately, the damn thing was so early that we didn't get any shots of her sailing in, but we made up for that in the afternoon when we went to see Patrick of Parasail Bonaire to come along on his boat. I went up on the parasail, and Patrick was able to get me in a perfect position for some great aerial shots.
You can view the results on VisionsOfBonaire

Marc,

The pictures are amazing! I wish I was there! Hey! I've been trying to get in touch with Patrick, I have a few guests who may be interested in booking with him when on the island. Can he get flyers to Renee so she can put them in the Inn? We leave pamphlets in each room..Email me if you can...hugs!

Awesome shots, Marc! What a thrill that must have been parasailing over the QM2 and the other cruise liner, too. Beautifully done!

I can't believe the size of this ship....I spotted pieces of the Divi in some of the shots....wow...that is one huge play toy!!!

I'm glad she only comes to town on very few occasions, though....QM2 and Bonaire just don't seem like a good "mix" to me! LOL. Two extreme contrasts....humungous extravagance vs. quiet serenity....I'll take the serenity!

Thanks again for sharing your work with us, Marc.

It was a thrill, yes, but I was so busy getting the shots that I couldn't fully enjoy the spectacular view from up there. I did look around at times and was stunned. If you want to do something different sometime on Bonaire, contact Parasail. It's extremely easy, completely safe and a fantastic kick!

Marc, thanks for sharing the pics, they are most exceptional! I like the one of the kids sitting on the HUGE mooring lines! What a way to get the pics. At first I was trying to figure out how you got them by looking at the angle you were shooting from. Thought it was a helicopter or something, till I saw the parasailing pics! I've done it twice in Mexico, and it is a spectacular thing to do!

After fishing from that pier with Jake a couple of years ago, it sure puts the size into perspective.
