This is one of my favorite Bonaire pictures. Nothing like just sitting at Capt. Don's eating pizza and watching the fabulous sunsets. Wish I knew the couple on the dock. Bet they'd like to have the picture.

Kristin,
When were you there? That might help the couple to identify themselves.

I know it wasn't Geoffrey and I - we would have been at the Deco Stop bar or Rum Runners!

I was there June 19-26, 2004. My copy is much clearer than this scanned and watered-down version, but the couple is still just a silhouette. Could be anybody! Next year I'm going to get someone in our group to take this same picture of ME on the dock! :-)

The gazebo was added during our stay in April 2004.

What a gorgeous sunset, Kristin. We had a sky like that one during our trip....actually, it was the same time you were there! LOL. That's not us in the pic tho, but I have a feeling it was the same sunset. Here's one of the pics from where we were that night. Carolesunset

Beautiful sunset girls! There is something about a sunset that just, well, relaxes and soothes every part of your body. The end of the day and hope for tommorrow. I really love sunsets!

We are booked with AJ 5-28 thru 6-11-05....are you guys onboard one of the flights or will you be on island then? I hope so!! Don't think we are going to stay at the SB house, tho...nice but too vulneralbe for me...you saw the set up. Ayo. Carole

And of course, sunset at Richard's...

Is anyone else having to really reduce the resolution to get it to post? I'm reducing from over 200K to the required 50K. Really stinks.

Nice, Kristin! Yes, I have to reduce digital pix quite a bunch for posting purposes. Oh well.

Carole, HI! Can't say yet about next June because of Bob changing job this fall. Don't know what sort of vacation he will be able to get only 7 months into it....

Oh, Niki, I hope you guys can make it next June! Please wish Bob the best of luck on his new job, too. We'll want to hear all about it.

Here's another sunset shot for everyone to enjoy....CArolesunset

Carole,
That is beautiful! It's hard to make some people understand that those sunset pictures are real and not touched up in any way. Sunsets in Bonaire REALLY do look like that! Pictures like that make me feel "homesick" for Bonaire even though I've only been there twice. I'd move there in a heartbeat!
