Hi all thanks for your comments.
I am still sorting through my images and I thought you may like these taken during our stay last week at Captain dons Habitat
This is only my second season on digital and each image is a learning curve that helps me to improve.
We did 6 boat dive and the rest was just our selves diving from the beach.
any questions just ask

Regards

Keith

Great pics, Keith, I especially love the juvenile spotted drum... they are so skittish and hard to photograph! Good one. :-)

Great frogfish as well.

Keith, I've deleted your double post (the one where the pictures didn't show).

BTW, great pictures.

Keith,

These are fabulous! Not only of the fish, but truly great photos. Have you thought of creating cards, postcards or a calendar? I would buy! The third shot is my fav. I can't even see fish this well when diving, never mind shoot such great photos...your big fan, Aimee

Great shots, glad you had a good trip. Now is that a Juv Jacknife Fish or a Juv Spotted Drum, I think it may be the former.

We set off a week on Saturday, we switched for the October coral spawning which was lucky as the change meant we missed Ivan's visit.

Did you see any spawning activity in early Sept?

Hi Thanks for your comments Aimee in answer to your question I have dabbled with putting images onto T Shirts and have now found a process that give long lasting garments and this year my holiday T shirt collection were just my own designs. Just for fun I also had some mugs made and they looked nice, but that is a far as I have gone with it.

Regards

Keith

Thanks Brian
I think it is a juvenile spotted drum it was so cute and I have a pair image as well.
Regarding the spawning I personally did not see any as I only did one night dive but others did. I wanted a different pace this year as last year I over dived and missed out on the other things that Bonaire has to offer. The balance was just perfect and I got some nice images and met some great people.

Regards

Keith

Keith,

What was the T-shirt process? I have used a couple with no good luck.

Just my two cents, (ok I am in Marketing--biotech!), but based on your response here, and my own desire to buy one, I think an All Bonaire Calendar would sell--you could hook up with some local shops to sell it. I find myself opening your images just to smile and remember trips to Bonaire, and the "otherworld" of underwater reef exploring!! Your shots are not only fine, in some cases they are funny too.

Hi Aimee

The process is call Dye sublimation and the image is transferred into the material unlike the normal transfer system that sits on the surface and starts to break up quickly in the washing machine, the colours are striking and vivid The mugs are dishwasher proof and photos look just gorgeous on the. My mother keeps hinting for Christmas LOL. There are lots of products that you can put your designs and images on with this process.
I spent 12 months learning how to put the projects together and then found a business that would make me what I wanted. The only problem that I had was that I work with Photoshop and these people work with Corel draw but with a little study this was overcome.

Keith,
Thanks again for the info. Do you have to have it done or is it a DIY process?

Aimee

I believe a jacknife has yellow around the black ring on it's nose, and that's a way to tell them apart. This is from memory, (the Humann books aren't nearby) so I could be wrong, but I think that's the case.

Thanks Susan I had several meetings with these juveniles and they tend to move around in a very small area which means that you just hover patiently until you see them in the right position as they never keep still.
I will post more soon

Hi Aimee

I have it done, as it require a hot press at the correct temperature and the inks are dye-sub so you have to have a dedicated printer so unless I want to go into business its just as easy to use a firm but like I said these people are not photographers or pixel base program users so you have to coach them and visa versa regarding there software.
But in the end I got some cool holiday wear
