Freddie, thanks for the tip. Why isn't this shown as a topic area. I never realized there was a photography topic area or am I not looking in the right place ?
Thanks

DJ, if you click on "Topics" on the bottom of this page, you will also see the topic heading "Bonaire Photography and Videography."

I've also moved this thread into that section as that is where it belongs:-)

Cheers!

i have asked this question several time, have emailed several shops in Bonaire and have not had any success in finding a digital course instructor. Surely a course with quality instruction exists. We will be in bonaire for 4 weeks this summer and would like to receive some quality instruction. As stated previously I have emailed several photo ops but they do not bother to even answer my questions which seems very out of character for Bonairians.

Habitat and Divi Flamingo held a Digital Photgraphy week along with Adobe and some camera companies about a year ago. I would think one of them would be a good bet. Habitat also has Digital week in early May this year on their website. Maybe it coincides with your vacation.

You might check out what opportunities there are during Dive Festival this year which is in June for two weeks. There is usually a photo contest and photo pros down for this.

Len,
Here are some quotes from the Fish-Eye Photo web-site:

"Digital photo courses are also available, however these are custom due to the great variety in available systems."
"Fish-Eye Photo is a new underwater photo/video facility on Bonaire. Located at the "Sand Dollar Dive & Condominium Resort", we work closely together with the "Bonaire Dive & Adventure" dive shop."

Chet: I have contacted Fish-Eye Photo three time via email and they have not responded. Perhaps they have closed their shop?

I saw the owner, Tim, last week - still in business. Not sure why you're not getting a response...

Try emailing to Bonaire Dive and Adventure at info@diveandadventure.com , asking them to get your message to Tim. He may not know messages are not getting through; knowing would be good for all.

Jake and Glen: Thanks. I will attempt to contact them again thru both Bonaire Dive and Fish-Eye Photo. Hope it works.

Will be attending the Digital-Duo's Digital Underwater Photography class and Capt Don's 1-7 May. Anyone else planning to be there. I'll be traveling alone so am looking for a dive buddy in the class.
