Just wanted to let you all know that Support Bonaire launched a fully revised Web site last night at http://www.SupportBonaire.org

Among the features we think are most important is that the Support Bonaire Web site now accepts credit card-based donations, and under our operating articles, we are able to create projects to which people can donate money. While we have seven such projects selected in-house, plus our own general funds project, we have listed the following three projects as the first ones for which we will accept credit card donations:

- Bonaire Animal Shelter Project
- Donkey Sanctuary Project
- Maria Hoppner Foster Home Project

These projects are described at:

http://www.supportbonaire.org/Support-Bonaire-Current-Projects.html

The additional projects will be added to the site once the Support Bonaire Board Members responsible for working with the organizations those projects address finish collecting the information necessary to present the projects publicly.

Because of an a commitment from the Tom Bartikoski Memorial Fund to cover Support Bonaire's operating costs for the next three years, we are able to pass 100% of the credit card donations received via our Web site directly to the projects we have approved and listed. Such disbursements will occur on a monthly basis (assuming donations have been received for a given project during the prior weeks). All U.S. tax payers who donate via the Support Bonaire Web site will receive a receipt that they can use as proof of a tax-deductible donation to a U.S. non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity.

The secure page at which people can donate funds to specific Support Bonaire projects is located at:

https://www.supportbonaire.org/Make-A-Donation-To-Support-Bonaire.php

For those of you wishing to support these projects financially, but have been reluctant due to tax issues, we believe you will find this an excellent new way to provide your favorite Bonaire non-profit projects (and organizations) with donations while still benefiting from Support Bonaire's standing as an IRS-approved public charity.

Please post replies here if you have any questions about any of the above, and thank you for your support of Bonaire!

Sincerely,

Jake Richter
President, Support Bonaire, Inc.
