My husband & I and my brother and his wife went to Bonaire July 6-20 th. We had the best trip we have ever had. Stayed in a house called the Casa Cia. The shore diving was the best. Didn't find time to even try the boat dives. We used Buddy's Dive. The drive through made it really easy.We found out by eating in the small snack shops was alot less expensive and lots of good food.

We are planning a trip to St Lucia in Oct. Do any of you fello divers have any information or e/mail addreses on smaller houses to rent?

I was to St. Lucia in April, had a great time, many things to see and do on the island if you want a active vacation, it is also a very tropical island. Can not help you with a house rental, we stayed at the windjammer resort which was very nice. Do not go with high expectation on diving and you will not be disappointed. The diving is all boat dives as far as I know, visiablity is fair as is the sea life and reef watching - not the best the Caribbean has to offer. We used Frogs dive center, they were very helpful and accommadating. Good luck with your search and hope your visit will be as nice as ours.

Sheryl, I visited St.Lucia some 12 years ago, but I can recommend the following things to do:

Mount Soufriere.. Volcano (very interesting)

Castries Market.. a good way to experience the local culture.

Banana Plantations.. get a sample fresh from the tree..

A boat trip to the Grenadines.. great snorkeling
