Yep, that's right...we bought another home on Bonaire...crazy or what???? A little about the new home in a few.

We arrived in Bonaire on the 23rd with NO problems via AJ...oh almost forgot...we bought down a long oversize box that almost didn't make it on the trip. The reservationist on the phone told me no problem, but once we got it to Newark Airport, they said nope...Until a great AJ supervisior pulled a few strings...and a few crocodile tears..

We had SO MUCH to do at the townhouse we only got 3 dives in. We did the White Slaves, which surprisingly we were not impressed with! We did Lighthouse Beach...wow is it comming back! Great dive then finally, Margate Bay...breathtaking as usual!

Our son (21 years old) arrived on the 28th so we did some snorkling with him. We snorkled Lighthouse Beach (MUCHO JUVENILE FISH EVERYWHERE, OCTOPUS), The Salt Piers, (LARGE TARPON, A SCHOOL OF ABOUT 18 BARRACUDA, NOT TO MENTION THE GREAT FISHLIFE), then Donkey Beach (STUNNING CORAL COMEBACK IN SHALLOWS, TWO SPOTTED BLACK AND GOLD MORAYS, MUCH GREY SPOTTED EELS...ALMOST 2 HOURS STRAIGHT OF JUVENILES...OH YEA, TILE FISH TOO!)

Ed made 2 great Adirondack chaise lounges for the back yard. They look great...the plants are thriving at the house and the back yard is really starting to look VERY TROPICAL...you have to see it at www.bonairevilla.com ...looking great!

Finally PARTY....PARTY....PARTY!!!. I think we hit 5 or 6 in all! 2 Bonairetalk dinners at Gibi's, 2 hosted by our wonderful new friends Jim and Lorraine and oh yeah...what was that other one????...OOPS THE ONE AT OUR HOUSE! We had about 30 or so people. It was great. We bought in a 10 lb frozen turkey and an 8 lb frozen turkey breast and BOY DID IT GO. All the food was great as was the company. We will be planning another for when we return in November for Thanksgiving...speaking of turkey! I'll bring the cranberry sauce and make the stuffing some scallopped potatoes!

Our flight home on the 7th was uneventful, except for a little turbulance on the Montego Bay to Newark leg...WE LOVED THE NEW EXIT TERMINAL AT THE BONAIRE AIRPORT!

Ok the house...in contract...on the hill...stunning view...

Going to hold on the the townhouse for a bit then put on the market...

Our retirement plans just went into high gear...plan on being in Bonaire in 2-3 years versus 5-7 years.

SEE JAKE IT WORKED!!!!! xoxoxo to Linda, Bas and Yana!!!!!

Thanks to all who made our trip a WONDERFUL success, we hope to see and here from you all soon!!

XOXOXOX

Liz and Ed Ginocchio

Hey Liz-
Congratulations on the new house. Since you said only "on the hill", and Scott and Sharon said something about neighbors, are we to assume the new house is in Santa Barbara? Or Sabadeco, where S & S are planning to upgrade? Isn't it great to plan to retire to Bonaire? While I'm not wishing my life away, I look forward to it too!

Kate,

We are in Santa Barbara. We have the most incredible view. We are on a corner that faces west, so we have a panoramic view of all of Klein, and we can see the island from just north of Hato to the Salt Piers...cool huh? We just got all of our approvals yesterday so it is a DEFINITE GO!!!!

We are so excited! Take care and thanks all!

Liz and Ed
