We are BOOKED! Rick and I have wanted to dive Bonaire for so long, and we are finally doing it! What a great way to celebrate his 50th BD and our 25th anniversary. We will be bringing our almost-17 year old daughter Erica, who is also a certified diver. We will be staying at Zale’s unit at Sand Dollar Aug 2 – 9, and we are still trying to sort out where we will stay the other 3 nights. Zale’s was only available for the seven days, and we consider ourselves lucky at that! And 7 days just isn’t enough. So we are currently trying to decide where to book the extra few nights. Anyway - not matter – we are going!
First I want to thank everybody for the extensive information I got from these boards. It’s been very helpful, and you are a terrific group of people. Second, we would love to hear from any families with older teens who will be on the island at the same time. Hoping to find some companionship for Erica!

See if you can move next door to Lion's Dive. It's wonderful. In any case, you're in for a special treat. BTW, it's my husband's 50th this year, and our 25th. We're doing something different and going to Ireland. Back to Bonaire ASAP!

High Deb, Well seems like we may have a lot in common? My wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary as well as this year is my 50th Birthday, also my Daughter is turning 18 the 15th of July! She just got her Naui scuba diver cert and her Dad (me) is getting his this week! My wife is a non diver but growing more interested in it all the time! We decided to take our daughter on a Dive Vacation (she is graduating from Highschool, while she attended full time at a community college this year, She is also looking for "diving companionship and is a real awesome young lady! I am planning to stay at the Belmar Apts? (haven't locked in the reservation yet? (ideas are appreciated)
We are planning to be in Bonaire on the 30th and stay a week? (sounds like a couple extra days might be a good move?

This board has been so great for info, and I am excited to have found it! (can't wait for the sun and warm water (we are from Vancouver WA,)

Hi Deb!

We are staying at Lions Dive from 8/2 - 8/16. We will be brining our kids Shaun 17, Mattie 17, Gowri 9. You are welcome to hook up with us and get the kids together. I plan on taking the kids out to the clubs a couple times so they can get some supervised night life. If you're interested, send me an email and I'll have a chance to look up our unit number. It's 2200 something.

We will be doing shore dives. We are all experienced Bonaire shore divers, except Gowri who isn't yet certified. We will be rotating one person to stay with her. We would be glad to show our favorite sites.
