Yesterday during Karnival at the Lost Penguin I shared my idea with Josie. I probably won't get to my trip report til next week as I am leaving on a work related trip to San Francisco in two days. So you all get to help me decide on the format! Vote for one or feel free to give ideas!

Choice numnber one: a day by day report (and no Josie I am not scanning my journal!!)
Choice number two: a report done by categories (accomodations, dives, meals, etc)

Returned home today to ice and 7 degree weather but with a great Bonaire sunset waiting for me from Susan Porter.

Susan, I now wish I had done a category trip report. I think that would be easier to find the things a person would be looking for. Looking forward to your report. Cindy

I love Josie's daily reports because it makes me feel that I am there. But that's because she IS there! Her situation is unique.
Most of us write the reports after returning to our homes. So unless you keep a detailed daily journal, a "catagory" report makes more sense. We look forward to your report either way, Susan, when your time allows.

Just write it! I'm having PBD badly now-in Michigan, we woke up to below zero yesterday, and tonight we're expecting 6 inches of snow. I've had it!!!

Why not a third category: stream of consciousness.

of for the nerds among us, how about by category, by day, with hyperlinks, a table of contents, comprehensive keyword and fulltext boolean searching and an annotated index?

I knew you would all have ideas -- and I may even get to that report today!!

Annie -- saw Kate at Gibi's and at the bbq --- she had some trouble getting to Bonaire because of the storm but is nice and comfy now.

Categories definitely. Unfortunately this is probably more labor intensive for you.

I agree with Linda...Josie's reports are great but, might be hard to do when doing the trip report when you get home so, I would vote for categories.

Daily reports are great if you can pull yourself away from Bonaire to write about it while you are there! Hard task for me! I enjoyed Snork and Emi's report...they took a day by day report and incorporated history and personal pic's to make it seem like you were there also....(we were...but he most certainly soaked up more than we did....(although the suds were good!)

Hi, Susan, we missed you last night at Gibi's!!!

And, Ann, Kate was there again last night. She was also at the "Wedding that never happened" yesterday!!! Not to worry, it should be today -- everyone was there yesterday for Hillary and Melissa's wedding, but the Justice of the Peace was AWOL. Rescheduled for today at 5:30 pm. Yesterday, when it was decided he definitely couldn't be found, photos and video were taken (with a beautiful sunset backdrop), the champagne was broken open and toasts were made, but the actually ceremony couldn't happen.

Jake looked especially adorable in tuxedo jacket with white shorts and blue flipflops!!

The bride and groom were also lovely!

More later...

Their spirits are still up.

Here is the story as near as I can piece together. The Curacao government employees had a half day off in the afternoon yesterday for Carnival. So somebody on Bonaire decided that the government employees here should have a half day too. A friend of ours gets a call at home during lunch telling him his appointments are cancelled and he can have the rest of the day off. Surprise!
So...
I assume the same thing happened to our friendly JP.

Excellent! Sounds like the makings for a perfect island wedding and stories to dine out on for months.
I can't wait for the pics.

The only time I ever get a half day off is when there is a snow or ice strom!! BRRR! As far as formats, I like reading them all.

I enjoy paragraphs with headings..such as:

Food
Diving
Accommodations

that way I can read what interests me..and it's easier in paragraph format.

HUGS

Windy and mild again
