I'm hardly a Bonaire expert, Ann. We liked Buddy Dive, but from what I understand, true sandy beaches are few & far between on Bonaire. Buddy's has an 'above' the water beach with a ladder entry. The sunset photo from above was taken there. ~ Sandra

Ann....Plaza Resort has a wonderful beach (but expect some topless beachgoers.)..just to fill you in...not sure how liberal your 78 year old mom is ..Divi Flamingo...and Harbor Village..also have beach availability.(Harbor Village probably the most expensive)Sanddollar, who we frequent twice a year has beach accessability but above ground lounging areas..Captain Dons,.Buddy dive and Lions Den should also be checked out ...all are wonderful dive locals and all offer different ocean front sights, some with steps from dock to just walk into the reef...Enjoy
