This was our second trip to Sand Dollar, in fact we requested and received the same room as last year. It is a three bedroom second floor unit. I am not giving the number because I want it for next year. We are a family of 6 with 5 certified divers, we arrived with 4. This was our second child to certify with Anne Carlson at Sand Dollar. They did the course work at home and the dives in Bonaire. Of course they missed the wet suits and the quarry back home but...

Our youngest son (10) also tried the Padi Bubblemaker program with Ann, which he loved. I took the 1/2 day photography course with the MX-10 which was a lot of fun.

A couple of minor problems involved a broken dishwasher and room AC unit. They were not fixed during our stay although they were reported. Island time?

Restaurants: We loved Capricio's this time as well. We really liked Crocantino, De Tuin, and Amadeus. We felt Den Lehman and the New Sand Dollar Restaurant were OK. The restaurant above Zezicht (Black Pirate?) was also just OK. We tried a breakfast, a lunch and pasta night at the Sand Dollar rest. It is what you might expect at a neighborhood place or diner back home but very convienant.

Diving: All shore dives to Bari(many), Alice in Wonderland, Andrea, Oil Slick Leap, Ol-Blue and Pink Beach were all nice. There are some differences however so I would not advise you go to just one site though.

The Park: It is worth the trip. Many books say to take a dive break mid-week any way. Beware of roadside vegetation however. (See below)

One nasty surprise: We rented from Total Car Rental. When we picked the car up a fast talking man walked around the car and wrote down where scratches were. I signed this. When the car is returned a woman checks the car and tells us there are more scratches there and it will cost me $50 extra. I suspect that this happened in the park. We basically drove on the roads that were available. I do not think we did anything unusual etc but it cost me $50. Next time I will make my own inspection at pick up. I will also request another rental car company.

Flights: I talked about these elsewhere, we did Air Jamaica. All flights were fine.
