We had a group of 10 people, 9 divers and 1 non-diver that flew out of Houston for our first trip to Bonaire, so it was pretty exciting. The plane was pretty light, so everyone got the own row to stretch out and catch some sleep.

We arrived at The Carib Inn, where we had paid for the extra night, to guarentee our check in at 5:30 am. 6 of us stayed in the 3 bd, 2 bath house, 4 others stayed in a 2 bd unit. We had daily maid service each day, which was great. We brought alot of dry goods from home, so we ended up cooking alot of meals at the house.

I can not say enough good things about the Carib, Bruce is the best. We rented unlimited tanks for the week, we thought we would need to do boat dives, but as we found out, there is really no need to, all the shore dives we did were pretty easy access. Bruce had a well stocked shop, with very reasonable prices, about the same or even less expensive then buying out of the Dallas, Tx area. I would definetely stay at the Carib Inn in again.

We rented 3 trucks from Poppy at Telerin, and she is a great. She met us at the airport, paperwork was just a signature, and the return of the trucks was just as easy, leave in the parking lot. Poppy met us in the check in line, and even bumped our group up in line to get our boarding passes, which saved alot of time. I will use Poppy on our next trips to Bonaire.

All the dives were great. Karparta was my favorite.

We only ate out a few times, City Cafe twice, which is very good. Pasa Bon twice, the pizza and pasta casserole was very good. Bobby Jan's, which I enjoyed, but several in our group did not. The last night of our stay we ate at Richards, because we had read so many good reviews. I think the atmosphere is great, but the food was nothing to write home about. It was very average and over priced for the quality.

I loved Bonaire, and I can't wait to go back.
