We got back a little over a week ago for the beautiful island of Bonaire. We stayed at Golden Reef Inn, Liz and Ed are great hosts, Gibi and his sister are great cooks. Did not have the Sunday nite BBQ due to not enough people signed up for it. But Gibi did do a dinner later in the week after more people arrived at GRI. We did primarily dives from Eden Beach to Andrea II, did only one dive on the south at Tori's Reef. We used Wanna Dive at Eden beach for our tanks. They are a great crew and very helpful. We saw a seahorse, eagle ray feeding, eels, and many many fish including grouper and barracuda.

Meet Debbie & Greg Babcock and their son for dinner one night, they are really nice people and we enjoyed meeting them. So far we have met someone from BT the last 4 trips to Bonaire.

David took a lot of pictures but he has not had time to edit them as yet. He had to go back overseas to work just a couple of days after we got back. He will edit the pictures and when he comes home in November will try to post them.

If everything work right we will be back next year for our 6th visit.

Andy

Hi Andy! Was nice meeting you and Dave too! Wow, Dave is away till Nov.? Did you catch the eagle ray that hangs out by the buoy at Tori's Reef? We saw it quite a number of times diving and snorkeling that area. Two were there on our last day in the afternoon. Glad you found a seahorse! I tried to find one on my own, but alas, didn't this trip.

Debbie,
David works 3 1/2 months and then has 2-3 weeks off. A lot of the ex-pats that work for companies that do logistical support for the military work 3-4 months at a time and then have 3-4 vacations a year. I get lots of honeymoons that way because he has to be out of the USA for 330 days a year to keep his tax exempt status.

Tori's Reef is where we watched the eagle ray forage.
