Does anyone know what the current conditions are like at the Divi Flamingo Resort and Casino? I was last there September of 2006 and it was being remodeled. I was wondering if the remodel had been completed?
Love the Divi’s close proximity to town and the convenience of the Pier.
I am making pre-trip planning and trying to figure out what to prepare for.
I was planning to stay in one of the studios that have the kitchenettes that is located next to the dive shop at the back of the resort. I will be there September 26 thru October 4.

We were in the Divi timeshare studios Aug 2-9 parallel to the ocean (#737 - great ocean view across pool) - our second stay at Divi. Rehab was in progress along that row during our stay. Our unit had new upper kitchen cabinets (cherry look), all new small appliances, and new stainless steel fridge, as well a new screen between kitchen and living area and cherry(like) bureaus. The units under renovation were getting a new wall enclosing the sink with the formerly tiny bath, and new floor and wall tile. It looked like they would still have the shower only. Renovations were a little noisy during the day when we stopped in for lunch, but we weren't in the room much during the day. We loved the quick walk to town through the dive shop gate and the general feel of the resort.

I was at the Divi this past May (3-10), but stayed in an oceanfront deluxe room. What a pleasant resort. We loved our stay there.

Thank you Trina for the up-date. I was hoping that they would have finished by now but by being in the back of the resort it may not be too bad. When I was there back in 2006 we did the breakfast package and found that to be a wonderful deal. Did you eat breakfast any of the days you were there and if so is it still as good as I remembered it to be? We loved watching the morning ritual it was the birds vs the waiters. Waiters would put up a good fight but in the end the birds would win. Those birds were crafty! I watch them open the cereal container several times.
April I agree with you. Back in 2006 we drove around and looked at some of the other resorts but the Divi just seemed to have the better location.
