Friday we loaded up two sets of tanks and first went to Torys Reef. The wind has been up and the chop was also. For the second dive we went back to Alice And Wonderland to look for the green moray. Of course the odds of seeing him again was remote but it’s a nice dive anyway. For the afternoon we sat on the balcony and watched the wind and the water. Then we did takeout at Bobbejans and had ribs and beer on our balcony watching the night divers. Bobbejans BBQ has to be some of the best BBQ we have ever had. I wish I could buy her sauce, I would buy a crate of it.

Saturday my daughter did not have her class so we went into town and did some shopping. We have a few favorite stores that we enjoy shopping at. We picked up some tee-shirts, perfume, jewelry and two dive lights. We have always rented lights for our night dives and finally decided to add these to our standard equipment. I bought my husband some Cubans for Father’s Day. Unfortunately when coming out of one of the stores my husband forgot about one of the steps and took a nasty fall. He twisted his ankle pretty bad and we thought it may be broken. He was able to walk on it but the rest of our diving was up in the air. For dinner we did BobbeJans again with some polars. My daughter and I went for a night snorkel off the Sand Dollar pier. We saw several large lobster, and octopus, a stone fish and several eels all ten feet from the dock. Its great to be able to float in the ocean, look at the stars at 8:00pm.

Sunday we decided to go to Washington Slagbaai National Park and drive around the long way something we have never done before. We packed a cooler full of cold soda and snacks and set off. There are some amazing sights on the long route. The wind was up so the waves crashing along the coast was very dramatic.
We stopped and snorkeled at some of the quite coves. Very nice. On the way out along the one way road we stopped and let our daughter drive the truck. She did this two years ago when she was twelve so now at fourteen she did a great job. Kept it right in the center of the road. When we got back my husband and I went for a twilight dive. Fun to watch all the fish looking for places to hide for the night. Lots of eels out hunting. No Tarpon on this dive. My husband was able to dive and use his fins ok so we were happy that are diving for the rest of the week would be on.
