back home tonite and will not need any DEET here:-)

continental thru houston coming and going - no problems there, actually had a whole row to myself on the way down, more typical full flight on the way back with some joker in front of me wanting to recline its seat:-( - i'm pretty sure that reclining those seats does not increase your comfort much but can really PO the person behind you - not all of us are that experienced i guess???

stayed at coco palm garden - i like the place and feel very safe there, brigitte told me of a "potion" for bronchitis - some nasty tasting leaf you make a tea from - did not try it but i think i might some time:-)

i'm not a big fan of dining out (alone) so nothing there to report - i did try dining at the Peruvian restaurant - Plaza Lima (or something) - i was to sample the cerviche and compare it to what judy had prepared - was pretty similar and i don't expect to become a great fan of cerviche...the main course, Escabeche (spelling) fish was much more to my liking...in general the fish entries at all the restaurants are good and is probably what one should order when dining bonaire...

the diving was good though i thought i saw considerably less than on some previous trips...only a couple of turtles and a couple of rays, very few eels, no dice sized trunkfish, only one juve drum, less shrimp...water temp was moderate and vis was pretty good...experienced a couple of wicked currents on night dives at yellow sub and at north belnem and current going in the "wrong" direction on a couple of other dives...guess it happens...did get buzzed by a pod of dolphins at fish hut - was pretty cool and the dolphins were larger than i would have thought (at least looked large) but boy were they in a hurry - just sped on by...later in the week saw them again at north belnem (from shore) as a dive boat circled around them to the joy of the divers on board...

weather was great the first week and then got a little warmer, more muggy the second week...no rain and only a small problem with mosquitos...

pictures are in the photography thread(s) - will post a link to the finished gallery when completed...

so, pretty good trip overall, and i will be looking at a fall return:-)

Bob, glad you had a nice trip.

On the shoes, I have this thing about shoes I see in the road, side of the road...how come there is only one? You never see a pair of shoes on the road. I've been thinking about taking pictures of lone shoes I come across and starting a website..."the Lone Shoe"...lol! Your pic could easily go there!

these extra shoes must be like assorted screws and nuts - can never among them find the one you need:-)

anyway, first cut at a photo gallery...will be adding and editing as i can but i wanted to put "something" out:-)

I don't see the problem with someone reclining their seat, although this is not the first time I have seen people complain. They are made to recline. It never bothers me when someone in front of me does so. What am I missing?

Well, count me in as a jerk. I've never read that you are not supposed to recline your seat. I recline mine, it hurts my back to sit straight up. I've only had one complaint and it was years ago, and he was a jerk the way he complained.

Well, bob, as it is now clear that your comment was directed at me, I'm so sorry you feel that way. I really have no idea why you do, but whatEVER. I've got some pretty thick skin, so it didn't even sting. As it's obvious you don't like me (for whatever reason as when I see you in person you certainly didn't give of that vibe, but whatEVER). And as via your extremely nasty insult via email to me --

bye bye

Well Bob, I thought I was just asking a reasonable question since my experience has been that many, if not almost all people, recline their seats and I have never found it to be a problem. However, from your response, I can see that you must be one of those people that are offended by almost anything you perceive as taking something away from you whether it is yours or not. How does that song go, "heard enough about you, want to hear about me, me, me, me, or something to that effect. Must be your theme song.

Boat Chick
Your right, you never see pairs of shoes, UNLESS they're tied to gather and hanging over a telephone line!--lol
