Just returned last night.

Airline: AA Newark.San Juan/Bonaire
All went well and on time. SJ-Bon overbooked some did not make the trip.
Return flight arrived at Bonaire AP at 3:45AM. The AA Express counter was not yet open. Baggage was placed on a long table in the oder of arrivial. I heard that this leg was also overbooked. At 4am the counter opened, I checked in and the bags were searched. By 4:15am I returned back to the condo for breakfast and a shower. I didn't return back until 5am. Boarding didn't take place until 5:15am and departure was at 6am sharp.

Diving: Beyond great. Shore package with Photo Tours. 2 or 3 dives a day. Two drift dives, one south and one north. Surf was really manageable in all cases. Viz. Was usually fine except one dive maybe 40 feet. Temps in the 82/84 degree range. Sea life was better than expected. Turtles every day. Manta and a eagle ray. Cuda's all over the place.

Great night dive off of the DIVI pier. Couldn't be easier.

Housing: Happy Holiday Homes web: www.happyholidayhomes.com
(599)717-8405

Nice, very clean units, 14 in all. I think all were 2 bedroom units. The owners were the nicest people I have ever met on any vacation. I felt at home. They gave us travel tips that really made the trip beyond what I had expected. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on in my life. Kind of weird to wake up to donkey sounds !!! These people may not pay for the ads in the large magazines, but they are clean and friendly and minutes from the dive sites.

I was reaaly surprised after seeing one condo complex that I always throught was the top in the county. But after seeing S$ in person, I really was surprised considering the pricing..

Car: PU from the condo owners. They have only one for rent. Typical four door pu which makes the diving SO easy...

Crime: Overstated. Yes, if you leave a camera in the car it might be stolen. We did not have this experience, nor did anyone else I spoke to during the time spent. Nowhere is crime free. I never felt concerned anywhere I travelled. Common sense seems to work well.

Thanks again,
