Well, here is a shot of the famous Barracuda dish prepared by Bas at a Pot Luck Bar B Q dinner we had at Michael Gaynor's new home a few weeks ago. Joe and I were the one's "throwing" the party, but Michael was gracious enough to extend us the "use" of his beautiful new "digs". Joe did most of the grilling and tons of great food was prepared and brought by other invited guests and friends. There were lots of BT'ers present as were Jake and Linda Richter and their children, "Big" Bas (obviously) and Niki and Bob and their friends Theresa and Chris from Oregon, Ginger from Harrisburg, Pa.,Andre, Michael and last but not least, Bas and his Fish Head! (Barracuda for those of you who cannot identify it in the photo). It was scrumptiuous, of course. What a feast we had and a wonderful time was had by all. Please forgive me if I have left any names out...I am certain they will come to mind once I post this note. I will have more shots to post, but first I want to "test" this one out and see how the sizing is, etc. Jake had mentioned to me that a certain person (ID not known to me) had requested a photo of the presentation of the Barracuda feast...that pic will follow right after this one. Great memories from that evening. Another feast was enjoyed the following Tuesday eveing at Gibi's Terrace with even more folks...quite a ritual I hear. Great food and great company. Ayo. I will try this one more time. The resizing is giving me the trouble...shot with high pixels and new equipment and editing software, etc....one more try....here we go! Carolefishead2

I will post more shots tomorrow of both parties but I have to practice at resizing the pics so that they are not as choppy and edgy. Poor Niki and Bob were half starved to death when the above shot was taken...all of the many meals had come out for the rest of us, but the "shrimp" people had to wait until the end and it took what seemed like "forever" for Gibi and his crew to get the shrimp on the table! LOL. There were soooo many dinners to prepare that it did take a while, but it was all well worth it, without a doubt. We even gave Niki and Bob some of our "scraps" while they were waiting for their main meals! So much fun that night. Here is a shot of my husband, Joe and Gibi, himself...the Man of the Hour! Hi Carole,

Actually the barracuda was de-boned into one large filet, tail off but the head still on. Put it out all flat on a board and lie stuff on top like thin slices of onion, carrot, mushroom, red bell pepper, herbes and spices. Pick up from tail and roll up towards head. Then tie it up like any roll. The head was of no use other than decoration and maybe shock a little bit hehehe. Also with the head still on... it's easier to tie the thing up as the head will prevent it from unrolling again. Sometimes I wish I had 3 hands lol. I took some pics too before it went into the oven.

AJAJAJ that cut in the top/middle of the roll is not...... no fishy stuff on here LoL but that is where it's dorsal fin used to be.
Put a toothpick between its jaws to make him look scary.
