I have just put on-line a gallery of images from our trip to the Caribe Inn in Oct 01. I recently bought a scanner and have been learning website design so I hope you enjoy.

Most excellent photos, if I come home from my trip with one underwater photo as good as these I’ll be happy.

Larry, these are some of the finest shots I have seen to date! Outrageous pics. Something I would love to strive for. You have the equipment for the clarity, but it is the "eye" that captures the image....well done. Thanks for posting your site for us. If there will be more, please do let us know. Nice shooting, Larry. I'm bringing a Pelican case full of equipment in three weeks - after looking at your pics I don't think 30 rolls is going to be enough!

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Jack, Bonaire is a wonderful place to shoot underwater but I rarely use more than 20 rolls on a one week trip.

Thanks... actually I'm going for two weeks. Also going to Aruba. Is anyone familiar with good dive spots over there?

Aruba really doesn't compare with Bonaire. I went there on our honeymoon 20 years ago. Visibility, coral, and general marine life is less than Bonaire. That said, there are a few dives worth doing if you're going there on vacation anyway. The Antilla wreck is worth a dive and is a good night dive. Baby beach at the south end of the island had the best visibility and most interesting life that I saw. Again, I'm talking 20 years ago so things may have changed but probably not for the better. Good luck.

Thanks again.. I'm also a windsurfer, and Aruba is windsurfing heaven.

Jack, I have also sailed Aruba two times, Maui, Hatteras, the Gorge..and beyond..to me, Bonaire is perfect..bump and jump, waves at Kai, flat water and shallow ...ahh..I did NOT love Aruba at all...to gusty and offshore winds scare the heck out of me..have you sailed Bonaire?? If not you will LOVE it..

Larry - Great photos!

And yes, that is a Sea Goddess nudibranch - very nice - I've only ever seen one on Bonaire (saw 5 frogfish on that same dive at Habitat, 4.5 years ago).

Excellent Queen Angel too!

Jake, I found a very similar nudibranch in the Paul Humann book but it was not exactly the same. I'm sure it is a species of Sea Goddess but not sure if it is one of the described ones.

Not sure either - you're right it's not exactly like the black spotted sea goddess, but it's very close - I'd guess it's part of that same species. Geographical variations do occur. You may want to point Paul Humann & Ned Deloach to your picture so that they can include it in the 3rd edition :-)

The link I posted was from the British Virgin Islands - another geographical variation, no doubt.
