This is a continuation of our trip report posted earlier.

Dining: I found the food on Bonaire to be very average. It was adequate but not spectacular. We ate all breakfasts at the Lion's Den because they were included in our package from the Lion's Dive. They had about 10 different selections from which you could choose from. They were OK but not worth the $10.00 each we were charged in our package. I would definately ask to not add the breakfasts to our package if I had it to do over. I would buy groceries like cereal, milk and fruits and make breakfasts in my condo. $140.00 would go a long way! We did buy groceries for our lunches and made sandwiches etc. in our rooms for 3 or 4 of our 6 days. We had lunch at the Lion's den 2 times. (No time to go out between boat dives.) The lunches were pretty good. Hamburgers are large and good. About $8.00 if I remember right. They come with fries. I would not hesitate to eat there for lunch on future trips. We also ate at City Cafe for 1 lunch. Very tasty sandwiches and reasonably priced. I wish I would have found them earlier in our trip. We did'nt get there until our last day. For dinner we ate out every night. Like I said before. Good but not great. Maybe I'm just hard to please. Night 1. Arrived late and ate at Lion's Den. Coconut shrimp appetizer is good. Wife had Lobster and I had pasta bowl with smoked duck and scallops. Lobster was OK but have had better in the states. Pasta was actually very good. Night 2. Rum Runners. Fried Plantains with peanut sauce dip. Pretty good. We both had the filet with shrimp. Again pretty good. I would go back. Night 3 Zee Zicht. Conch fritters. Never had conch before. Interesting. Wife had snapper and I had some combo plate. All very average. Probably will not go back. Night 4. Beefeaters. Wife had fish and I had T bone. T bone was tough and over cooked. (The dogs back at the hotel seemed to like it.) Wife's fish was good however. Probably won't go back. Night 5. Lion's Den again. Coconut shrimp again. MMM MMM MMM. I had mixed grill. Pretty good. Wife had pasta dish. Pretty good. I will eat more meals ate Lion's den if I go back. Consistently good food. Night 6. Oscarina. We chartered the Oscarina for a sunset cruise on our last night. Karen cooked a fabulous meal. We had appetizers, salad, Barracuda, and plantains foster for dessert. Very pleasant and romantic experience. More food than we could eat and very tasy too. Karen is great. Highly recomend the Oscarina for the Dinner cruise. More to come

I'll let Karen know that you posted such a nice message about her and the Oscarina. If anybody likes sushi, she does a mean sushi cruise too.

I'll second the recommendation on Karen --- especially the sushi cruise! Great evening. We were particularly impressed that even though we were only two and no one else was interested in that day, Karen didn't cancel, despite the fact that she says the sushi cruise is for a minimum of four. We really appreciated that...
