Thought some might enjoy a few pictures from my first trip to Bonaire in February. We dove with Toucan divers and they couldn't have been more helpful. Great folks, great diving. See what you think at Click here

Ken, thanks for the slide show. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, they were all great. I just have to ask what you shot these with and were you using an external strobe? Thanks too for the information on your webpage...very, very interesting!

Ken-

It is funny you just posted here. Two days ago, I was looking into dive info for French Polynesia and came across your photos at Diveatlas.com. I thought those photos were great. These macro photos of Bonaire are equally impressive!

Wow, Ken! They are spectacular shots. Just goes to show you what a Nikonos V can do in the hands of a great diver. Your site is terrific...entertaining, educational and very professional as well as beautiful, obviously. If you have any additional sites with photos other than this one, let us know and we will all zip on over there and drool. Thanks again for the shots and for letting us live our lives thru your life vicariously! Carole (Shutterbug)

Ken

Nice shots I especially like the pair of Decorator Crabs. Looks like Town Pier was maybe worth it after all with all your shots from that dive..

Superb, Ken! My students enjoyed looking at and reading about your shots - very entertaining reading BTW. Sure make me yearn for Bonaire...

Since I can't figure out how to respond to one of you at at time, let me try to address a couple of the questions and comments in one post.
First, thanks for all the nice comments. Y'all make me feel great.
To Brian: yeah, guess you've discovered my secret. Even though I write about the disappointment of diving Town Pier, I was, indeed, fortunate to make several pictures on that dive.
To Carol Baker: yes, I've got some pictures posted from a trip in June to Moorea Island in French Polynesia (an amazing place). There is a link at the bottom of the Bonaire pix or you can click here.
To Gail-the Dux: All shot with Nikonos V and either 15mm lens or 35mm with 1:3 extension tube and Ikelite Strobe (the 50, I think)
Hope that answers your questions. Thanks again for the nice comments.

Have a safe and wonderful trip Brian.. oh, did you ever sort out the mosquito situation? Anyway, I have a tip.. take along some lavender oil, put a few drops on your pillow at night, mosquitos hate it, they'll stay away!!! :)

Ken, absolutely spectacular pictures. I looked at the Bonaire pictures a few days ago and was very impressed. I just saw the Moorea pictures, since I've actually done those dives your pictures brought back alot of great memories. I'm pretty sure I met you Lemon shark, she was pregnant at the time. She is quite an imposing sight.

Ken, you kept me up late looking at your photos, and it was captivating! Thanks! The macro details are so neat, I wish my eyes were that good at focusing up close, but those days are passing quickly. Keep up the great work.

Sarah

thanks I will try lavender oil. Is Fancypants still in a strop?

Cynde

I am off to the Maldives for a change, but we will be back in BON in September for the coral spawning, I will get another Octopus and keep it away from the monster. This week the pup has shredded a gorilla we bought at Crufts two weeks ago and a reindeer, these were both tough dog toys.
