We just got back from Bonaire on the 9th, it was my returning trip. There were 5 in our group with a husband and wife who had not been there before. We all would like to return again.

We flew Air Jamaica from Chicago to Bonaire and had no major problems. The pilot had gotten sick in the night which delay take-off for the replacement. This caused Air Jamaica to charter a flight from Montego Bay to Bonaire for the group of people that needed to continue on. The returning flight went on with a problem.

We stay at Buddy's Dive Resort were I had stayed before. I would go back to Buddy's because you don't have the hassell with a vehicle rental, Buddy's have thier own fleet. We didn't go with the boat dive package, although we did do 1 boat dive at Klein Bonaire. We did 3 dives each day, 2 during the day and wrapped up with a night dive off of the resort. All the diving was great, I had not seen what the reefs were before Lenny but have seen the growth in the past 2 years. I still seen the damage from Lenny but I seen alot that was not touched. Being from Michigan most any place was great diving.

I would like to get back to Bonaire in a few years and would stay at Buddy's again. We had no problems with crime at the resort or with parking the trucks while diving. If you want more details about Buddy's drop a note.

Sounds like you had a great trip. My husband and I leave the 23rd from Chicago, flying air jamaica, staying at buddys, too! Any tips, things to note?

I would fly Air Jamaica again, loved that they service the Caribbean. Buddy's has a lot to do as in activities if you don't know what to do next sign up for something. We went there with no real plan so the entire week was relaxing. Enjoy- I know you will.
