Ok... on with the text part of the trip report.

First dive was at andrea I. Saw the hidden moray, goldentail moray, seahorse, lots of fish. 60ft or so vis. Second dive at Something Special. Saw the free swimming moray, squirellfish, eagle ray. Had great time at both dives (of course :) ) First try with the uw digital setup... very happy so far.. I thought the strobe was overexposing everything, but it just looked that way through the lcd. Gotta learn to get closer!! The only pics it really blew out were of christmas tree worms. Just have to experiment some more.

Had a good lunch at ZeeZichts... burgers and salad. 20something dollars.
PS.. the previous dinners were both around 60.00.

Did a little shopping. Shops close at 12:30 and reopen at 2:00. Lisa likes Atlantis (jewelry store).

Snorkeled off the boat pier at the Divi. Saw a Tarpon, trumpetfish, and a black and white spotted fish...looked it up, but forgot the name.

Had a quick bite for dinner at Rumrunners (Capt. Don's)... burgers again... Neither of us were very hungry. Tarpon as usual in the shallows while you eat.

Great divemasters at the divi... Good burgers at both places today. Gotta put more sunblock on the shoulders and neck!!! I think that's all... More to follow.

Ken and Lisa

Jake... I'll probably take an early boat dive and be back around 11am... leave message if you're replacing cable.

Everyone... if you want more (or less) pictures just let me know (I only took 128 today on 2 dives :) ) Nice to have the laptop... burn pics to cd and bring to Detuin to post!!

Good Night all from paradise!!
Ken and Lisa

Ken and Lisa - just WOW!!! I love the fishies - the rays and morays are great sightings - but I love the workaday fishies like the Goatfish and Schoolmasters, too! So that's how ya do it - laptop to CD to the addicts online. Gotta love high-tech! Have another great day today...

Ken and Lisa, nice job. Did you bring your own equipment or rent? I have heard that you can rent some decent cameras on the island. I just have some entry level stuff.

ELEVEN DAYS AND COUNTING........... We have just started to tan so we dont't get fried. Being from the mid west we look like Casper the Ghost.

Great pics Ken, More....More.

I don't think the midwest has anything to do with looking like casper. even native Floridians look like that this time of year. You can always tell us from the snowbirds - we don't have tans (or 3rd degree burns)

Jake... I'll bring it along saturday.

ahhhh... just managed to delete my entire post before I posted it... Basically, didn't get a chance to burn photos today...
Supper at It rains fishes was pretty good. My best meal so far has been the Wahoo at the Chibi Chibi. 1st dive at Jerry's reef. Saw seahorse and barracuda. The others saw turtles and I missed them since I was just mossying along and didn't go as far along the reef. 2nd dive at the small wall... although the dm (Enrique) and I went north from the mooring...so that might be a different site. Saw seahorse, urchin, lizardfish.

Oh yea... black coral at Jerry's. Will post some of todays pics along with whatever I get tomorrow on friday evening. Saw Jake and Linda on shore as we were finishing the small wall dive, so I grabbed a tank after docking and went to help. Luckily (for me) Jake was finishing the uw work and didn't need me floundering in the surf.

For all you pale people... SUNBLOCK!!! even the short time spent on the dive boats between dives is enough to fry you.

More pics tomorrow along with text report... I promise.

Night for now
Ken and Lisa
