Hello all,

My husband and I are going to be in Bonaire March 14th through the 25th. It is our first time and we are sooo looking forward to it. Both of us dive and we have heard many great things about Bonaire. And from the looks of this message board, it sounds like it's true! We are staying at the Sand Dollar Condo, Alan and Joan Zale's condo, to be exact. In fact, Alan is the one who told me about this site! I have found so much useful information here, I just can't believe it! So is anyone else out there visiting in March?

Our past travel experiences include: St. John, which is where we got married, the BVIs, Hawaii (The Big Island), Grand Cayman, and the Florida Keys. Of all that we have been to, we liked St. John's the best. I am under the distinct impression though that Bonaire is going to boot St. John out of the top spot!

You will love it. It is not tropical/lush like St. John, but more like a section of Arizona placed in the middle of the ocean. Hot, windy, quiet, w/ lots of lizzards.

We will be at Buddy Dive (next door to S.D.) from 07MAR02 to 18MAR02. Your dates have the same pattern as ours. You must have got the same low fair deal we did for the unusual dates.

If you want some tips while your there, look us up at Buddy. We'll be the couple on both sides of 40 with a sun burned 5 year old boy along side. We do know the island pretty well, and do mostly shore diving.

Daiella, my wife and I will be there for our first trip March 18-27. We have been in Tobago, Belise and Cosumel. We are staying at the Lions Dive. This site is great. We live in Liberty, MO just north of KC. Brad and Mary Jane

By all means join us. My kids - boy 5 and girl 6.5 would be thrilled to have a visitor their size during the BBQ.

I have considered the BBQ. The problem I have is that I generally refuse to schedule anything on vacation. My life is a schedule, my vacation is not. Hence, why we like Bonaire and shore diving. No schedule.

We will consider it some more. Maybe we can just stop over and socialize and not eat, so yourfood plans are not messed up.

Yes, we got a great deal on airfare. Let me tell ya, it's not cheap to get to the Carribbean from the Pacific Northwest! My hubby's sister, who is going with us, just called me today to tell me that our flight got overbooked, so they are setting us up first class in another flight!! What luck!! I have never flown first class before! Wow!

We'll try to look you up at the Buddy Dive and Brad and Mary Jane as well!

How did you like Belize? We almost went there this last Thanksgiving, but ended up going to Hawaii instead. What part did you stay in? Ambegris Caye? Did you dive the Blue Hole?
