Hey gang. I was with a group of 22 divers and stayed at the Plaza Resort for 7 days. We did the 2 tank morning dive with Toucan divers and had a blast. After the morning dives we would do a few shore dives after lunch. I love shore diving! We went to all of the great restaurants (I don't think there's a bad restaurant on the whole island as well as a bad hotel or dive operator). This was my eighth trip there and I love the place more each time. I don't want to bore you with all of the details so I'll just attach some pictures for all of you addicts to drool over. Make sure your keyboard is out of the way!

By the way this was a huge green eel and had stony growth's in its mouth and eyes. He seemed as big around as a scuba tank and maybe six feet long. I forget where we saw him. I'll post more later. BTW, I used an Oly 5050 and Oly housing with an Ike 125 w/ttl controller. I still need more practice.

Bruce -

Some great shots with the Oly.

Might I ask what is the fish hanging vertically in two of the shots that is perfectly matching the coral in the background?

The shape looks sort of like a file fish, but I've never seen them change to their background.

Gracias.

Charles, that little guy is a slender file fish. It's a delight watching them change as the soft corals they live near open.
Here's one that Seb took a picture of

Bruce -

Thank you for the identification. I thought the shape looked familiar.

We've seen a fair number of file fish, but we've never seen them change colors like trumpets, squid, cowfish, et. al.

It may be because we are only at snorkel depth or more likely that our marine eyes need more training.

Awesome shots, Bruce!! Very impressive and there is definitely a bit of drool all over the table where our PC is located! I'm glad you warned me to move the keyboard out of the way...it's wireless so that worked out well.

Wonderful, wonderful photos, Bruce. You have us hooked now...could you really, seriously just "stop" posting more photos???? Nahhhhh...that would be way too cruel! Ayo. Carole
