Hi gang, I just wanted to post the new url of my website NBH Travel Journal. It used to be http://tracipick.tripod.com and the new address is www.nbhtravel.com Thanks to anyone who ever bookmarked my site or just visited. I have tons of Bonaire photos from last December, so if you haven't checked it out surf on over when you are done here. Thanks and enjoy. Cyd

Hey, Cyd... great pictures as usual, and great trip report. I went to NYC before 9/11 and the view of the skyline from the Statue of Liberty sure looks different.

There was a marathon in Central Park and Pick wasn't in it?? LOL

Thanks for sharing !

Hey Kelly, Thanks for the post! That was a good one about Pick...I will have to tell her that one! LOL Did you get to check out the Hawaii 2004 journal? I know you were interested in that one. So where is your next adventure? I will be heading to Turks and Caicos this December...it was hard to not head back to Bonaire!! But hopefully it will be nice too. Take care. Cyd

Cyd, thanks for the new link. I checked out a couple of your travels in the past. I would like to spend the night at the Mansfield Reformatory and so would my son. I loved your Hawaii 2004 report. The pictures are amazing. Now that is real incentive to start saving for that dream Hawaii vacation!

Hi Lisa, Thanks for checking out my website..glad you like it! You should definitely do the Mansfield Ghost Hunt!! I actually just went back for a second time this past summer and a few more really WEIRD things happened...like NONE of my photos from INSIDE the prison turned out, but everything outside did, and I was using a flash!! We had a group of 9 people and everyone's flashlight died at exactly the same moment...we were freaked out! Lots of people kept getting "touched"--feeling like something was pinching or brushing against their skin--as well. Not sure what to make of it, but it certainly is unexplainable. It is an amazing experience if you are into that sort of stuff...I highly recommend it. And you should def get to Hawaii, it is my favorite place! And it is more affordable than you might think. Don't put it off..live that dream! Thanks for your post. Cyd

I'll check out the Hawaii pics, yes I am still interested in that. T & C should be a great vacation. I have a friend who just went this summer with his family and they had a ball. Make sure you post your report when you get back.

I didn't make it to a ghost hunt this year, but I'm hoping to go again next year. That is one of the coolest things I've ever done. I am a big fan of the unexplainable..

Kelly, I didn't know you have done that ghost hunt. I would love to go. If you like the unexplainable than you will like this story.

I went out to dinner with my friends last week and Ken was home with Kyle and Ashley. They lit the fire pit outside but had it put out when I got home. Ken and I were sitting on the couch and we heard three knocks on our sliding glass door. We thought it was our neighbors. Ken got up and looked outside and our fire pit had huge flames coming out of it and our deck had caught fire. He ran out and turned on the garden hose and put it out and it really didn't damage much. When he came in he said there wasn't anyone in our back yard so who knocked on our door? He is a huge skeptic and I am totally the opposite and am always pointed things out to him. All night he tried thinking up answers as to what the three knocks could have been. He asked neighbors the next day if they were back there and they all said no. When we told Kyle what happened, he told Ken it was his spirit guide telling him to get his butt off the couch and put the fire out!

Great story, Lisa!

Yes I did the ghost hunt twice, and LOVED IT. I went with a group both times, and it really is scary there. Once was last Nov. and then I think the other time was in July. You can either go wandering around by yourself, or have a guide take you. We went around by ourselves. I would love to do that again.
