Ok, I am counting the days with dread! I mean I live for my trips and with my new positive addiction, Bonaire, well life is good but now, I find myself dreading coming home because there is not another trip in site until at least summer..

whahhhhhhhhhh

One good note: I submitted a leave of absence request for 2002/03 academic year. Hopefully something comes up for me..

Annie...snap out of it...Your going to Bonaire...Your going to Bonaire..keep repeating that...next trip may be sooner and you will have "flipped out" for no good reason!...Now if you think the trip will be too stressful for you...and you can't make it...cause you can't bear for it to be over....I will be HAPPY to take the tickets off your hands!....I have 6 months to go till next trip...and have to sike myself up for months before to just get on the stupid plane! How many days?

You might have PBD if…

You sleep with your fins on…

You can’t stop ordering Wahoo for dinner…

You print a Bonaire Web Cam picture every 5 minutes…

You check airfares daily even though you’re not going back for a year…

You scuba in your tub…

You refuse to wash your hair after that last dive…

You will listen to all kinds of music as long as it is from the Bonaire Karnival…

You can’t stop spitting on your eyeglasses so they won’t fog up…

You read the Bonaire Reporter twice a day front to back, then back to front…

You walk around the house in your neoprene booties…

Your spouse whispers sweet nothings in your ear at night and you suddenly think it is Captain Don…

You put your mask on real tight once a day just so you can have some mask squeeze…

You hear the waves lapping at the beach, but then realize it’s that stupid waterbed leaking again…

You can’t stop driving by the local zoo hoping to catch a glimpse of a donkey or goat…

Okay Annie...your turn!

You keep having to convert dollars to florin...

You have yet to put on actual shoes

You always have a bottle of water

You drive with your window open

Suddenly there are piles of kosher salt all over the dining room table...

Somehow, the bedroom got painted turquoise...

Your dive log is totally up to date...

All your REEF surveys are faxed in...

The photos are all posted...

You put yellow rocks at the end of the driveway...

OK, how many of you besides me have that yellow rock at the end of their driveway? And, I did just get off of "Travelocity" looking at different combinations of days/airlines for Feb/Mar 2003.

I don't even have a yellow stone at the entrace of my house, but also at the entrance of my garage, on every stair I have to climb and one at the mailbox......

MAJOR PBD!!!!

You make your home page the Bonaire Web Cams

You make everyone in your family crunch their food so it sounds like the parrotfish nibbling on coral

You actually have a dream about being there...and oddly Jake and Linda are having a yard sale in the front yard (actually had this dream...sigh)

You make your favorite fish costumes and put them on all of your animals and follow them around with your mask and snorkel on....

You remodel the inside of your house and paint the walls VERY bright colors...

You have nothing but bonaire fish pics on your desktop...

and last...you have become so attached to charlotte that when you don't see her for a couple of days, you begin to worry that she has either left us, or become somenone's dinner (like that baraccuda that hung out the other day)...

I think I 'subconsciously' redecorated our little bathroom (our "only" bathroom!) in Bonaire colors...light blue and deep blue and now looking for a carpet most likely in lilacs or purples....call it our "new blue loo"...getting closer to Bonaire.....I am thinking of doing the "tiny" hallway (we live in a one bedroom apartment..LOL) in a deep color of somesort, too..to continue the colorful feeling of the bathroom and into the hallway...it's contageous....PBD...yup...now decorating in Bonairean colors! Love it! Great lists, everyone! Carole
