Hi Everyone! These are digital photos my husband
Dan took, I know, they are long overdue! The
rest of the photos (land + underwater) are
print photos, I have not figured out how to post
those: http://community.webshots.com/user/sdw27

FLIGHTS: Oakland, California to Los Angeles International to Montego Bay, Jamaica to Bonaire on Air Jamaica. First class lounge in Montego Bay is essential! Flights were on time, no luggage lost or damaged. No complaints. Food is OK. Complimentary champagne is lovely.
ACCOMODATIONS: Bel Mar Resort. Very nice.
SNORKELING: Bel Mar, Windsock, 18th Palm, Sabadeco Pier (favorite), Oil Slick Leap, 1000
Steps, Karpata, BOPEC Pier, Boca Wayaka, Playa Bengi, Boca Slaagbai, Klein Bonaire - Rockpile. Traveled to Klein on the Oscarina. On the way back a pod (about 12) porpoises road the bow. Sat on the bow with our feet hanging down. When the porpoises would breech, the water from their blow holes would splash on our feet. Probably a once in a life time experience, awesome! Really dissapointed in the snorkeling. Much damage from Lenny surge. Water clarity was poor. I think this was because 1st of the month, coral spawn, full moon? Really had to search for fish. But, we saw LOTS of squid, squadrons of squid, I am in love with squid! Saw Octopus, 1 Queen Angelfish, few French Angelfish, lots of trumpetfish, parrot fish, french grunts, all the regulars.
INSECT BITES: Did not notice any mosquitos, but, I got these bites, that turned black and you are compelled to scratch them till the open up and bleed. Took quite a while to heal! Saw the many- headed Hydras (?), Medusas (?) while snorkeling.
RESTAURANTS: Gibi's Terrace (met Gibi, very nice guy), Capriccio, City Cafe, Buddy Dive's Restaurant (Dock of the Bay?), Sand Dollar Restaurant ... Capriccio best, but expensive. Went to Cultimara and ate in room at Bel Mar most of the time. After snorkeling all day, too tired to go out at night!
FAUNA: Went to Washington-Slaagbai National Park, took the long route, saw EVERYTHING we wanted to see; Lora's, Troupials, Flamingos ... Iguanas are big!
SOCIALIZING: Met Jake, Linda, + kids at Cynde Lee's Birthday party, a lot of fun!
STREET CAM: We did not steal the crab! It was smelly so I just pushed it off the pillar into their yard. It was great to meet the dogs! I know, our signs were too small!
I will stop here. If anyone has any specific questions, I would love to help if I can:

Really awesome pictures, Sue! Do you live near Oakland? Glenn & I are leaving 11/15 for our first trip to Bonaire (we're in San Leandro). Thanks for posting some of the land based things i hadn't seen before. Pre-Bonaire Syndrome has hit us badly! Thanks....Deb.
