We have booked a March dive trip, but heard that it is a bit windy. We can change the date of our trip.. Is March a good time to visit?

We were there in March and it was great. It may depend from year to year. You'll appreciate some breeze to cool you off! Enjoy...

March is a great time. Bonaire has a fairly steady breeze due to it's location. When the winds drop everybody heads to the East side of the island to dive those spots normally too "sporting" for leisurely diving.

We were there the last of march first of april last year and it was pretty much calm all the time we were there. We could have (should have) dove the rough side, but it was our first trip and the south side was excellent and kept us completely engaged for two weeks

I agree, March is a great time to visit. Last March was very calm. We have been there several March's and the wind is always welcome.

Bonaire is in the northeast trade winds so 98 % of the time the east side is the rough side and the west side, with almost all the resorts and 40 odd named dive sites, is calm and easily dived along about 20 miles of shore and boat dive sites. All year long. As mentioned above, if the wind does drop or shift to west,, dive the 'wild' side!!
