Phew..what a week!

Regatta was a blast. I competed against hot shot teenage women/girls and didn't place last! LOL..the winds were great ALL week except for yest. aft. Weather was amazing..a HUGE downpore yesterday at Sorobon. What fun to sail in it!

Plaza was GREATTTTTTTTTTT..nice beach for picky Mom, Grand Suite was GREAT..views galore. The only prob. is you can hear your neighbors through the bathroom vents. Also, the music in town each night was SOOO loud you could hear the bass til 3 AM but I got used to it.

Dinner at Blue Moon was nice (wahoo) T'Ankerje burgers were great!! Chicibi (Divi) was nice as well. Lion's Den had great views and GREAT service but the food didn't hit home for me. Pizza at Habitat is still a fav!

Hung with Dara every night at Regatta. The Cuban band was amazing last night. Didn't make the BON Talk Dinner last night due to a biz meeting with Elvis but did meet the gang at the airport..what fun to chat a 4 AM!!

Sorry Stevo is NOT at Divi..what a loss..damn..let's see where he goes next..he is such a great guy!!

Love Bon..had a meeting re: a potential career but nothing else to speak of. Maggie LOVEDDDDDDDDDDD it..did you see us on the web cam?? She wants to move as well..

Well, off to unpack. AA was very good despite the horrific hour to be at the airport..no lines and totally N) need to get there before 5 AM, really!!

Ok, so I am looking for a job, house anything..I LOVE BONAIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..

Annie, Welcome back! Thanks for the update on the Plaza & dining. I'm staying there Thanksgiving week. Hopefully I'll be too exhausted in the evening, to notice the noise coming from town. Linda

Annie: Any idea what happened to Stevo at the Divi. Were the renovations completed or didn't you notice. I am scheduled to arrive there in November. Seems like whenever Divi gets a good manager and things start to go together at the resorts. The next thing you know the good guy is gone. Anyone know what is going on let us all know

I chatted with Stevo at the airport. He is a wonderful man. I am very concerned about this situation. He appears to be a awesome man and manager. I was so pleased with my stay. I hope his new adventures are wonderful. I will let him share his story.

How were the lines at Logan for a) check in and b) security screening? Going down Dec. 4 (BOS-SJU-BON) and not looking forward to all that craziness. Glad to hear you had a great vacation.

The security didn't seem different but there are long lines to go through. Many guards about. Our flight was at 12:05 so I got there at 10:30 and got in quickly. It was cake. At the other end in BON I was not searched, just questioned. I did not need to get there at 4:30. I say 5:00 is good but don't say you heard it from me.

When we arrived in BOS at 1:00 yest. and had to sit 45 min. on the tarmak as there was not enough staff to bring the plane in. Also due to cuts, the lines to check in were OUT THE DOOR!! Also, they DO allow curbside check in certain times a day. That line was also long. UGHH..

Did I miss something on another thread? Can someone please tell me what is happening with Stevo and Divi? Do I correctly surmise that he is leaving, or being transferred elsewhere? This would be a shame, since he seems to have done a great job there for Divi! Does someone have the story?...I am interested in basic facts, not dirt, by the way. Thanks!

All I know is that Stevo is no longer working for Divi. A Dutch manager has been hired. Don't know names or reasons behind any of this.

Linda: Thanks for the word. I am very sorry to hear that Stevo has left, as he had really done a marvelous job, for all that we have seen... and heard from others. I would certainly wish him the very best! And the same for the new manager, as well...I hope he is as dynamic and results oriented as Stevo. I think that the Divi has really made a comeback, and I would really love to see it stay that way.
