On top of all these wonderful moments, everything went well in our trip.
FLIGHTS
Getting there: AA from Boston to Miami; ALM from Miami to Bonaire via Curacao
Getting back: ALM to Curacao to Miami and then AA to Boston
None of the flights left on time (20-30 minutes delays each leg) but we managed to make all the connections and had no problems with luggage. One caution for travelers flying from Bonaire to Curacao, ALM loaded all the smaller pieces of luggage first when the flight is full (weight limit?). Large and heavy pieces were left behind for a later flight. From my window seat, I actually saw the ground crew driving away with the larger pieces after closing the cargo door. A couple of passengers on our flight were left without luggage arriving Curacao.
LODGING
We stayed at the Sorobon Beach Resort, a quiet and relaxing place. The shallow bay is protected by double reefs, which make for great snorkeling. We walked for a quarter mile out and the water was still waist deep. Since it is a clothing optional resort, we snorkeled clothes-free. It was a liberating experience. The resident school of French Grunts are unconcerned of people. They playfully swam around our bodies, arms and legs as we sat in the shallow water.
DINING:
All the meals we had, with the exception of one, were excellent.
Kon Tiki - (2 dinners and 1 lunch) It is the best of all the restaurants we tried, judging from taste, presentation, and service, even better than the 5 star restaurants here in Boston. If we ever had the chance to go back, we would not missed their smoked fish salad, grilled wahoo with pasta and their heavenly apple pie. The second time we dined there, Richard forgot to take his credit card after paying. Linda, co-owner of the restaurant called Sorobon before we even got back and left a message that she would drop off the card to us the following morning. We were overwhelmed and grateful for their hospitality. Another reason for us to visit Bonaire again.
It Rained Fishes - Their fish with mustard sauce is really as good as everyone says. Home made Mozzarella was light and fuffy.
Blue Moon: French Escargots were delicious. There was a new moon when we dined which added to the ambience.
Le Wok - Excellent fish soup served with crunchy French bread fresh from the oven. Pretty courtyard and soft jazz playing in the background made up for the lack of water frontage.
Maikey Snack - She served her delicious curried fish soup with bones and skin intact, which is just the way Richard likes it.
Zeechzit - They know how to grill conch, moist, not chewy, and full of mesquite flavor. Richard liked the iguana soup, which tasted like chicken soup with just a hint of gamy flavor.
Cozzoli - It was another pleasant surprise. We ordered 2 pizza slices thinking it would be just fast food. But half an hour later, we were presented with half a pizza, made from scratch with the cheese still bubbling on top. It was good to the last bite.
Warung Ketjil: We had a scaled down version of the Indonesian rice table. However, there were still12 dishes in all we counted. Every dish was made with care, just the right amount of delicate sauce and very flavorful.
Old Inn: This was the only disappointing meal in our trip. We like Indonesian food, and so, we ordered the traditional rice table again. All the dishes were laden with heavy, gooey sauces, which came in different colors but tasted the same.

We would like to apologize to Miriam and Martin, owners of Kon Tiki Restaurant and correct ourselves that it was "Miriam" who brought our credit card back to Sorobon. Thanks again for your hospitality and kindness. Cheers
