There are two threads in FAQ in this BT that would be good for everyone to look over..

after you register on the New Bt please go to the FAQ on that site for more information about posting.

Will this BT go away? How will the transition work?

good question Glen..

this BT will be around for a while.. Until we can get the New one up to date and current with information found here... already things have be transfered over but unfortunately not all of it made it there.. Like the user names did not go in properly so that is why everyone needs to re register.. the threads there will be a clean slate except for the active threads that I will be moving over today.. This BT will then be locked to further posting.... There should be a link that is in the making for reference to this BT..than people can then go back and forth for a while.. like I said until this new one gets current.. might take a while but we can wait.
Please read the announcements and FAQ on New BT before you do anything and then let er rip

Is the intent then to have the Archives on BT2 form a continuum of messages over all of 'BT time'?

Glen, we have done our best with the transition.. not everything will come over because of the difference between the two formats..and the glitches in the archaic format of this BT...

eventually things will even out... right now there is a clean slate for which we can build on..
this BT will still be available for reference but not posting as we will begin to close the threads as soon as the other site is active... at this point just waiting for someone to get to work and activate it I hope this answered your question.
