OK, after 36 dives up and down the coast no froggies. We are experienced dives longtime Bonaire divers. (trip number 19) Found Seahorses, juvy drums, juvy trunkfish, pipefish and other rare finds, but, no froggies. Have asked divemasters and they don't know. Wilco thinks the water is too cold. hmmm

any thoughts?

I don't know, just a guess, but, I'm thinking with the unusually long season of rain and water turbulence this year, maybe they've gone a little deeper?
Last Jan, was the 1st trip in a long time I didn't find any, but, my eyes are getting older! As you said though lots of other interesting (incl. pipefish) finds and spawning displays.

Fewer Froggies. more Lionfish: causative correlation or coincidence???

Are there Pacific Froggies in the Indo-Pacific areas inhabited by Lions???

David -- we found frogfish at Something Special in September. Right at the top of the reef in about 25 ft.

Glen; here's another photo that shows sizes in relation to one another. The frogfish was probably about 6 to 8". The action I saw was the frogfish moving around in the coral as the lionfish swam towards the frogfish and then away from it.
