If we are overweight when flying DAE to Bon, how is the "fee" paid? On the spot? Another line? or?

At the counter, they'll write down what you have to pay. Then you go to their ticket window, which is on the other side of the arrivals hall and pay...then back to the counter.

Ahhhh...might be a glitch...if you're flying after 5pm. Bonaire Flamingo Airport just announced last week, that they're going to be closing at 6pm daily, until KLM arrives at 4am, starting Feb 13. This in order to work on the runway/tarmac. No ending date announced (that I know of). I'm not sure how much notice the airlines were given, and I don't know how this is affecting the Saturday MIA/BON non-stop on Insel, nor the KLM flights that arrive at 7:30pm a few times a week. All the local flights after 6pm (DAE & Insel) have been cancelled.

Sorry Ron-just saw that you're plans are for 10:30pm. Kinda think that's not gonna happen, but to be safe, call DAE Monday to confirm, and possibly plan a night in CUR, unless you can get on the earlier AA, then to BON on one of the 5pm-ish flights.

Ron, I started another thread about the airport closing. Here are the details about the times, as posted by my friend Pietrie:

BON closings, from February 13th -27 March:
Sundays closed from 6PM - 6 AM
Monday and Wednesday 6PM - 4AM
Tuesday and Thursday closed 7:45PM -5:45AM
Fridays and Saturdays no closing.

Thanks Ruth,
On another note we are changing planes in Chicago,Jacksonville and Miami, when we get to Cur we hope our bags are with us, if not then what?
AA only has to get them to Cur and we will go on to Bon the next day. How will we get the bags to Bon if we arent in Cur. to hand them over to DAE?

Just covered here (a few threads down). Looks like the AA counter in CUR will cooperate with DAE, but will probably need follow-up: http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/29/440694.html?1295928751
