No problems on the way down. On the way home we have had problems with every airline in the last 5 years. (can't remember the three before that) WE got up for the 7am American Eagle flight at 4am got to the airport at 5 and it was cancelled until 9. So much for an early start. Missed our connection in San Juan by about 20 minutes. I asked for lunch vouchers in Bonaire and was told they coundn't give us vouchers there but it was in the computer and to ask in San Juan. Asked in San Juan and there was no documentation in computer at all. They tried to call Bonaire and no one answered the phone. The woman beside me was trying to get to Denver and she had been reticketed on Bonaire and was sent to Tampa instead. The mistake was found in San Juan. Took over half an hour to get lunch voucher after getting to the desk. The moral of the story is that every airline has its problems and to check tickets and documents before leaving the desk in Bonaire. If they say it is documented it probably is not so get a computer printout. We are already planning out 9th trip next year.

Yes, evry airline has it's problems. We flew home on AJ Sat, should have gotten to BWI by 9:30 PM. Finally got there at 1PM SUN!The BON-MoBay flight was late, so they didn't hold the connecting flight. Next flight out was at 3AM (a spring break special!!) to Phila, that didn't leave til 4:30 AM and when we got to Phila the promised AJ agent with ground transport to BWI was nowhere to be found - what a suprise. After 2 hrs things were finally settled, and we were on our way to BWI via taxi.Phila agent said they had not been told anything by MOBay,as Corney said get it in print! Dispite all the aggravation we are also planning our fall trip already and will probably fly AJ again, they always get us there.......getting back is just an adventure every time!

When we took American from Curacao to Miami two years ago the flight coming into Curacao was late. We had made up the time in the air but we had to wait for 10 minutes at the gate in Miami because there was no gate agent to connect the jetway with the aircraft! We we booking from gate D to the gate E satellite in which we just made the American flight back to New York. It was also the last flight to New York for the night! We have taken Air Jamaica twice with no problems except that each time the flight from Montego Bay to Bonaire or vise versa is always late. Our flight from Montego Bay to Bonaire last year was pushed back from the gate when they announced that something was wrong with the aircraft. We then had to wait for twenty mintues at the gate while they fixed it. During this time the air conditioning was not running! But Air Jamaica always waits for its connecting flights back to the US, which is great!

Read my above posting, AJ does not always hold for connecting flights. On Sat they held neither the Baltimore flight or the Atlanta flight! It's luck of the draw, on 5 trips 3 times they waited and twice they didn't. I'll still fly AJ, but never count on getting back when scheduled!

We have moved the posting by Hub in rebuttal to Sharyn's posting on Bonaire Beach Villas to where it belongs, namely the thread where Sharyn complained about her stay there:
