I just received this from Expedia, it seems that now all of the carriers are charging for the second bag (and some the first).

I think with all the extra fees it may make it more problematic to bring dive gear - such a dilemma. Dive gear or clothes - dive gear or clothes. I can see a new PADI specialty course - Naked Diving.

Hi, Cyn! I checked Delta's allowance and for Caribbean (and other flights) we are allowed two (2) bags max of 50 pounds each.

Are you sure about Delta? I'm flying Delta to the Bahamas in August and the site specifically stated when I booked my flight that only one (1) 50 lb checked bag was included; 2nd bag is $25 extra.

At least for right now. Give them some time, and I am sure they will follow Continental's policies.

Eight people! You've kind of insured the plane will be full and that luggage may be a consideration.

We had received that same message about the restrictions when we inquired. But on July 30 two of us traveled from Aruba to Bonaire on DAE, (plane made stop in CUR to let off and pickup passengers), both checked bags were over weight by several kg and we were not charged. We also had regular size rolling carry-on's that they did not weigh. DAE did great by us! But if you read enough BT messages, I guess some would consider us lucky.
