I will NEVER fly Air Jamaica again. As a group leader with an Atlanta dive shop that regularly takes around 75 people every year to Bonaire, we have had enough.

We agree. We also got stuck ( luckily coming home ) in Montego bay thanks to Air Jamaica and will not use AJ again. We have booked through Continental airlines for April of 2006. Chgo- Houston - Bonaire. Doing the red eye

The board talks about problems with all the carriers and I for one will deal with AJ untill they go out of business.. We have used them 8 times and we were delayed once coming home. They wined and dined us and we flew home. Just booked them for our Oct 15th trip and we will see how the service is. May 25th went smooth going and June 8th was even better getting home. The planes from ORD are booked for Saturday flights and booked for return flights. We have had more trouble with AA but if that is the only way to get to our favorite Island then sobeit..... Ron

Greetings All! I'm jumping in here because I am becoming exceedingly nervous about all of the negative posts about Air Jamaica. I fly them this weekend. I have been in constant contact with them and all flights are confirmed. They even offered an "option" for ensuring we arrive in Bonaire as scheduled. They confirmed that we can get routed, via Venezuela and then a puddle jumper, if need be. They already confirmed there are seats available and if we arrive 2 1/2 hours early like they tell every one, we should be able to get rerouted if necessary. So, I think they are trying to reassure their customers. This will be my second flight with them. The first one was with a good sized dive group and we had no problems. They even met our group in Montego Bay and escorted us to the next gate - pretty nice if you ask me. Normally when I fly south of the boarder, it is with AA and we hit problems all of the time. I'm only concerned about delays this time because we have a teenager flying with us who is nervous about flying.

We flew AJ from ATL to Bon as long as it was operating - never had a problem - a tight connection or 2 coming back and some delays. First class service was very good, and there was a very nice lounge in MB. We're going Delta-AE in September because AJ protected us on these flights when they cancelled BON service
