We're going to Bonaire in June to meet some friends on their sailboat. Flying from LAX to Aruba on frequent flier miles. Haven't had any luck ticketing flights between Aruba and Bonaire. Excel's web site gives an error message when I try to book with a credit card. AAA web site is a lot more $$, and after trying to ticket, tells me there's a problem and an agent will contact me. What gives? Is this normal?

After the problems I had booking online with the AAA web site, yesterday I spoke with the webmaster responsible for all online bookings. She did some research and said US travel agents can't issue paper tickets for Bonaire Excel. Not sure if Travelocity is any different (and American Express just goes to the Travelocity web site with a different banner). More to follow...

Anyone get Travelzoo? www.travelzoo.com gets all kinds of great travel offers.

This week one of the offers is New York to Aruba round trip for $309.

There are also a bunch of other cities with low fares from $309 to $329 to Aruba.

Used Caribbean Dive Tours, found on the infobonaire.. getting here.. travel specialists link. Paper tickets arrived promptly. I just checked the tickets and interestingly, on the cover, it says Boanire Excel with the correct flight numbers, just checked the Bon Exel web site for those numbers. But on the actual ticket it says Continental.. with the BE flight numbers. Will call them today and find out.

Or email BE and see that they have us on their list.
