HELP! American Airlines just canceled our flight from San Juan to Bonaire and back during the holidays. We now have to fly to Curacao and find a way to Bonaire. We need a flight after 4PM on Dec 26 from Curacao to Bonaire and a flight on Jan 3 (anytime) to Curacao as our flight leaves early AM on Jan 4 to San Juan. (also any ideas on a hotel near the airport for Jan 3. There are 5 of us. Thanks!

Hi Cheryl, and welcome to the board!
We always use Divi Divi Air to get from Curacao to Bonaire and we highly recommend them based on our experience; they have been outstanding!
Their website is www.baibini.com You can contact them by e-mail from there.
As American are causing you this grief, is there any way they can reroute you without using that early morning flight and costing you a night on Bonaire? For example we now miss San Juan and go from Curacao to Miami (that one leaves in the afternoon) and on from there; it depends where you are heading but worth a thought. Good Luck!
Jill

Thanks Jill. I am in touch with Divi. They are trying to accomodate us but have no availability on Dec 26 except at 3:30 which may be too tight. We are looking into a charter with Divi. I tried the flight straight to Miami but unfortunately, we would still have to do a night in Miami and arrive home in Phoenix the next day (our daughter is a senior and her school is NOT happy she is already missing 2 days!). This is our first trip to Bonaire. Any ideas and tips are welcome!

Cheryl, Bonairexel has flights at 6:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm and 10:00pm from Cur to Bon. Cost is about $90 r/t. The earliest flight from Bon to Cur is 7:00am and arrives in Cur at 7:30am. This is usually on time.

Not to cause you concern, but if considering Bonariexel, I suggest you check out the discussions in the recent thread in trip reports marked "John & Lois trip report mid - November"

Cheryl, I would also highly reccommend Divi Divi air. They are a small operation, but extremely friendly and reliable. I have connected with them many times over the past three years they have operated and have been completely pleased each and every time. I am flying with them again on Christmas day.
