We have a mini Halloween here. Corine loves Halloween and organizes Trick-o-Treat downtown with the local businesses. I think she said there were 40 kids last year.

Here are my kids from 1999

The plan this year is Yana as a butterfly and Bas as a pirate - patch and sword. I've been teaching him "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum".

Great thread Meryl...I will have to do some diggin. Thanks Linda...after our visit to Disneyland last weekend, I finally got that pirate song out of my head, now it is back!

Nancy, I got fluffy too...how does that happen anyway???

Fluff is good.

Sorry about the size of the pic.. thought I had trimmed it down. Well, fluff is good if you live in a frozen waste land.. blubber & all that. However, it's the pits when snorkeling. Every time I tried to dive down, I would float right back to the surface. :-(

Yeah - poor JACKO can't handle that stuff anymore. He's a lightweight. :)

Hazel: Great costumes on the kids - congratulate them all! I remember First Grade when my mother made me a satin dress with seed pearls and a hoop skirt (a hula hoop provided the wide hem) and when we paraded from classroom to classroom I couldn't fit between between the desks as we passed up and down the aisles - so I had to tip it to one side and show my KNICKERS! Good thing she made me fancy knickers! LOL

These next pics aren't the best, but one gal went as buffy, and another as a flower child, so of course when the frolicing was all over, we had to try on each others wigs!

Hazel, the kids look great. We get no kids here trick or treating. I'm always so disappointed. I buy candy every time and end up eating it myself. :-{
Here is 1Nancy's brother-in-law. His daughter owns a Halloween store in CA. The second picture is him, his daughter and some of the folks that work at the store. Just had to post them.
Happy Birthday Barry! Happy Halloween everyone else. Hope your day was filled with treats!

And our fearless (or should that be fear-inducing for Halloween) leader, Corine. She contacts the merchants every year to have them participate with treats for the children. My kids call her the 'Witch lady'.

I'm a little late looking at the last postings on this thread. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the pictures of the kids. I love the dress up part of Halloween. The kids (or parents?) are often so inventive!
Thanks for the pics all
