My sister and I will be on island May 31 thru June 14. I, at least plan on attending your wedding and post-nuptial potluck. I can do my left coast cabrito stoba, or I can use chicken or beef, if a big chunk of cabrito is not easily available.

May 24 - June 14 for Niki and Bob. First week Sorobon. Then two weeks in a bungalow with diving from the back steps, (that being the thing that fills me with glee whenever I think about it - having driven our gear and sweaty selves over from the windward side for every other dive since time began.)

Yup, looks like we will be seeing each other on the MB to Bonaire connection on May 24! All jet-lagged at the same time, but all very, very excited and happy to be arriving in Bonaire, as well. I'll bet there will be a lot of BT'ers on AJ's flight that day. Anyone else leaving out of Newark on 5-24 via AJ?

Where is the bungalow, Niki? Sounds terrific and so convenient for you, too. Very neat! Carole

Meryl, yes, AirJamaica. I had made the hotel plans months ago, but as of yesterday I hadn't actually made the flight reservations. I pictured all of BT squeezing onto that flight and realized I'd better hurry up. Midnight, I was on the phone to Delta (3am for the operator in Atlanta) and locked it in. It sounded like we got the last two seats together on the MB/BON leg. The price from Oregon was less than last year! I couldn't believe it.

Shame on you, Martin. Look at it this way, you just gained 6 days -- in your mind, a windfall!

All: I have been on the phone with Air Jamaica today. ( got a break from the mine) They have finally gotten their schedule for the summer. looks like Wednesday, Friday and Saturday flights only to Bonaire. I don't know about coming from other parts of the country but AJ seems to have the best schedule and the least hassle.

Anyone out there for May/June want to plan this year's pig out? Joe and I went into high gear arranging, cooking and cleaning up for last year's blow out at Michael's place....anyone wish to run with the baton this year? Might be easiest just to pick a "common" date (late May?) and then phone up a place to let them know there will be "x" number of folks arriving at "x" hour, etc??? Anyone want to run with the football this year?? Carole

PS We really, really need Lorraine and Jim Meadows to host the best damn parties on the island, but they will be there in April this year...boohoo for us, but great for them...they really, really need to be on Bonaire this year after what they have been through with 9-11 and all. cb

Martin,
This will be our 4th stay at Caribbean Court. We finally "discovered" Bonaire in Jan 2001. Here's what our dive sked has looked like since then....
Jan 2001 Bonaire Caribbean Court/PhotoTours
Jun 2001 Bonaire Caribbean Court/PhotoTours
Aug 2001 Belize
Jan 2002 Bonaire Caribbean Court/PhotoTours
Mar 2002 Bahamas
Jun 2002 Bahamas
We strayed from the path.....
Sep 2002 Bonaire Lighthouse Reef/PhotoTours
Jan 2003 Bonaire CoCo Palms/PhotoTours
We will be back To Caribbean Court in Jun 03.
We do like all the people at Caribbean Court. Bert and Clark have always made our stay great. You can never say enough nice things about the Crew at PhotoTours. I have spoiled my neices and nephews by bringing them to Bonaire to learn to dive. I guess you can say we are addicted to Bonaire.

Martin! Hi Ya former neighbour!

We're still looking for a home, so you're list will be updated with our address within the coming month. Right now it's Port Bonaire. We're looking at something (a house, that is :-)) that's on walking distance from Caribbean Court (and Plaza and Solar - meaning: yippee). Still a lot to be done, though, and not sure yet we'll be renting it...

So, how's chilly Holland? :-)

We had a lot of snow recently, your place really looked nice. It's not chilly, it's freezing cold here, the complex has a lot icy-spots... You know, like from us to the garage and ... What am I babling about, you don't want to know... :-)

Best of luck with the house hunt!

He probably put the wipers that way before it started snowing. Seems to be a popular thing to do around here right before storms, for some reason. I don't bother because I don't see where it does anything for me other than leave the things where my elbow can catch 'em...

Faith, it's supposed to keep the blades from freezing to the windshield. You are correct...the are placed in the "upright" position pre-storm. We used to be the only ones who did it around here and now I noticed quite a few more in our lot before the "Big One" hit this past weekend. Monkey see, Monkey do??? Or are they all "privy" to the "why" of it all....one can only wonder. LOL. What a year....please let us have a Spring...and not go right into one hundred degree days again as we did last year. Please, please, please!! Carole

PS They brought in the front end loader today to move and haul the snow mountains out of our lot...to the rescue!
