Looking forward to coming to Bonaire on March 7th. Our 630pm flight into Bonaire was canceled due to the airport construction. We now have to stay in Curacao over night for a 7am flight to Bonaire. DO you have suggestion for 2 hotel rooms that would be close to the airport? We read bad reviews on the Airport Hotel and casino.

Will we be able to get a Curacao taxi at 5am? How much should it cost?

We just got back from Bonaire and were in the same boat--we had to overnight in Curacao then fly to Bonaire the next morning as a result of the airport closures.

We have had to stay overnight in Curacao many times and have tried various hotels, all awful. Cabs are very expensive--on our last trip, we paid almost $30 ONE WAY to our hotel. So the woman we rented our Bonaire condo from recommended Apartmentu Holanda for our overnight stay. I highly recommend it--it's close to the airport, it's cheap, it's clean and Allan will pick you up and take you to the airport for $20 round-trip. You can get a basic room for $65 and an apartment with kitchen for $85. There is a very nice pool as well, very refreshing after traveling all day. Good luck!
