My wife and i moved into Caribbean Court, only to find no water heater. I did a search and only found some alternatives to a water heater. Anybody know where and how much for one on the island? Thanks in advance for all your help

I think, and this is just personal opinion that anyone installing a water heater should consider tankless. They are expensive, but save tremendously on energy costs. I have no idea if anyone on Bonaire is familiar with them. With the cost of water, electricity and fuel on Bonaire so high it's worth a look. They are very popular in Europe.

Little tankless heaters used to be available at Kooyman and Playa Trading. Last time I looked, neither had them. Building Depot on Curacao has them, though. I agree ... much more useful than a big tank heater, and much easier to retrofit into a home that hasn't got hot water plumbing.
