My husband and I are purchasing a home in Bonaire and would like to find a used truck or other vehicle that can transport dive gear among other things. Does anyone know of a source to check for this as we're not currently on the island and won't be until May. We'd like to avoid bringing another vehicle on Bonaire. Thanks.

You really need to look at the grocery store bulletin boards. Some car dealers sell used vehicles $$$. I have a mechanic who can go to CUR for you to get one if need be. CUR has more options. Some car rental companies sell their vehicles but to me, IMHO the CUR route is the best.

thanks. Are the restrictions the same to bring a car from CUR as from the US...titled in my name for one year, etc? What about shipping?

Curacao and Bonaire are the same country (think of us as different states inside the Netherlands Antilles), so no duties apply to things bought on Curacao and brought to Bonaire. Make sure you get and keep all the paperwork, though.
