We are about to purchase a home on Bonaire. The purchase contract includes a contingency for a technical inspection. Can anyone recommend a competent inspector? Anyone have a positive or negative experience from an inspection?

On something as major as a home, an extra plane fare is cheap. Find someone you trust in the states, and give him a free trip to Bonaire if he inspects the property for you.
